Bix launches new research project
September 7th, 2007 | 4 CommentsHey, you got an opinion? Thought so. Well…(gulp)…we’d love to hear it. For example, do you prefer iPhone or Blackberry Pearl? What about Cheez-it’s or Cheetos? Or Bix vs. Singsnap? And more importantly, why do you think one’s better than the other?
To find answers to these and other burning questions, the Bix team is proud to launch Versus. It’s a fun research project that lets our community get to the elusive “why?” of individual preferences.
This “why?” is critical to helping us all figure out what’s really important (and what’s not). It also helps folks figure out what questions to ask when you’re considering two products. A case in point, someone may prefer the Blackberry Pearl to the iPhone because of its ”tactile keyboard” and “it’s easier to use with one hand”. While someone else may choose the iPhone for the “big bright beautiful screen” and “intuitive and usable UI.”
This is the sort of meaningful info we’re hoping to dig a little deeper for (while having some fun along the way). We hope Versus proves to be a cool and useful tool. Try it out, and please give us your honest feedback.

Bix vs. Singsnap
Bix is much better, because it has a lot of other things to do besides Karaoke.
As far as Karaoke goes, I believe that Singsnap is better, because it has a much larger selection of songs to sing to.
I would love to see more songs here on Bix. Many people I socialize with here on Bix are "into" karaoke here and are a great joy to listen to.
I think those of us here that do "other" stuff on Bix like seeing the many different talents their fellow "Bixters" have, even if we can't sing or choose not to sing.
I'd love to see "afs" files be included in the types of files allowed to upload. I know many of us who make our own videos with our webcams have to go through Youtube to upload them, then come here and choose the "upload external" just to get our stuff on. I believe if "afs" were allowed here, we would see a lot more talent.
So...Bix vs. Singsnap, I say Bix!

You're welcome Michael, I'm full of it...um I mean feedback. Another thing that might help the Karaoke singers here would be to allow the hyperlink from Singsnap, because I do know that they do have a lot of recordings on Singsnap, but don't know how to save them and then upload them to bix.
On another note, I think that some sort of "Block User" or "Ignore User" here on Bix would help those of us who are here to enjoy ourselves, ignore those who are here to "cause trouble" for others.
Just some thoughts I'm sharin'..."(gulp)".
