As we wrap up the last round of the Capitol Records ‘The Road to Nashville‘ contest, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the 10 finalists who will be packing their bags for Nashville for live auditions on 8/22/07.

A big thank you from the Bix team not only to the top 10, but also to the top 50 contestants who sang their hearts out. I, personally enjoyed watching each and every video; and it was awesome to see the friendships that were created within our small community.
Oh, and to all the contestants in round 2, keep an eye out for the UPS delivery person. I sent you a little sum’n-sum’n as a token of our appreciation.

Hey a big congratulations to everyone from me as well. Capitol is going to have a great live audition set for round 3, and I hope to be able to make the short drive from Knoxville to Nashville to see it all in person, provided my wife doesn't have our baby before then! Thanks to Bix, Yahoo, and Capitol Records for the opportunity as well. I think we all appreciate how much effort went into this contest. I look forward to bigger and better things from Bix in the future.
I really thought you were going to get there this time. Don't give up. You have what the country market would pay for. The right people just need to hear it!

Hey Michael, I noticed in your initial post here that you state the live auditions are going to be on the 21st but on the main Capitol contest page on Bix it says the auditions are going to be on the 22nd...Which day are they going to be on? Thanks!

Darn...if it had been on the 21st I may have been able to make a road trip...although, by now, I'm pretty sure all the seats are spoken for!! Hope you guys do something like this again soon!! Take care and have fun on your vacation! ~Lisa~

I'm still waiting to see if there are seats left...guess no responding to email on the weekends? And I surely hope and think it a great idea if these auditions are videotaped and put on the site. Isn't THAT a terrific idea? Why, yes, indeed it is!!! And with the first of what I am sure are BIG contests...maybe Bix will run a contest to for someone to design a 3-D trophy type award. What a great thing to be awarded a Bix statuette instead of a piece of paper to be framed or mentioned on the site. Just an idea!

What's up peeps. I want to be in Nashville... waaaaaaahhhh... watching, that is.
I also would like to Thank all the folks that made this contest happen. Like the crew at Bix I guess they had allot to do with makein this work like a just primed well runnin engine and as we started down that there Road To Nashville I found my engine begin to sputter as I started votein clickin that dadblame mouse into the hundreds of thousands of votein points tryin to stay up with everyone that was enterin and tryin to place at least my top 10 springs begin flyin out of my mouse and after a quick run to the Radio Shack I Begin again only to find myself among some awesome talent as I could see that bus load of talent headed over the horizon down that RTN and my self fadein back. Only to be surprised in the end and finisin as an ALt I would like to thank all the competition for showin me what it takes to be voted into such high ranks and givein me even more drive to strive harder and become gooder and gooder everday and last but not least the voters themselfs.
